Relationships are built on the self. And there is no escaping the fact that if a relationship isn't working, it means that the self needs to be addressed.

But in today's culture we are driven to seek happiness outside the self and it creates so much tension, anger, and frustration in our relationship. What we need is a call to the WILD – go back to unconditional self love.

I used to believe I really loved "me" until I came into a greater understanding that I really didn't. In fact, I couldn't love me because I couldn't accept "me" – and therefore my little form of so called "self" love was only a sham waiting to be exposed.

Maybe these words will echo inside of you as well. Because you're wondering why you're facing so much outer resistance or conflict inside your relationship. Maybe you're still waiting for Mr. Right or feel desperately lonely and longing for the comfort of your Dream Man.

Maybe you're married and wondering why your marriage sucks. Well, pardon me for being so forward, life will suck when the self sucks. That is, when we haven't gone into the wild kingdom within and cultivated an everlasting adoration for our "beingness" then it is very difficult for anything else to really work isn't it?
